Band Merch — Harlan’s Creek Local Artists

Harlan’s Creek has produced three recording artists in the past several years. This is considered unusual for a town of its size, and no official explanation has been offered. WTC does not speculate.

The County Line play country music rooted in the specific texture of rural West Virginia — the kind that sounds like it knows something it isn’t saying. They have been performing in and around Harlan’s Creek for longer than most people can accurately remember, which is itself worth noting.

Molly Harper grew up two miles from the water and writes songs about everything that happens right before people stop believing in things. Her debut album, Things That Live Here, is available now. She plays most first Fridays at The Creekside. Attendance is reported to be consistent. The atmosphere, also consistent.
