Cryptids, as a collective, have been present on this planet for longer than recorded human history. They did not arrive. They did not emerge. WTC's editorial team submitted a request for comment to the cryptids as a collective via three methods: a recorded statement left at a known sighting location in the Pacific Northwest, a classified notice published in the WTC field bulletin, and seventeen minutes of sustained silence in an old-growth forest at dusk. No response was received. The silence, however, felt attentive.
