Mer-People are not without their own claim to significance. The geographic consistency of accounts across genuinely unconnected cultures represents a data pattern that the Common Witch’s more culturally integrated profile does not replicate in quite the same way. The ocean remains large. The entity remains undocumented. WTC assigns this a lower score than the Common Witch and notes, without further comment, that the ocean is also not going anywhere.
